Geoffroy Grison is a European screenwriter and script consultant. He grew up and studied in Strasbourg, graduating with a Master’s degree in ancient Greek Literature. He then worked at ARTE as a script advisor, before moving on to filmmaking, first as a producer then as a screenwriter.
He has written or produced over a dozen international arthouse features in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the United States or France, which have premiered at major festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice or Locarno. His recent writing credits include Objet a directed by Ann Oren, selected for Concorso internazionale in Locarno 2026, Laguna directed by Šarūnas Bartas, selected for Giornate degli Autori at Venice 2025 and The Dam directed by Lebanese artist Ali Cherri, selected for the Quinzaine at Cannes 2022, which was shot in Sudan during the revolution.
As a consultant or a translator, he has worked with directors such as Myrsini Aristidou (Hold Onto Me, Sundance 2026), Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke (A Useful Ghost, Cannes 2025), Pia Marais (Transamazonia, Locarno 2024), Magnus von Horn (Sweat, Cannes 2020) or Ben Russell (Good Luck, Locarno 2017).
