Geoffroy Grison is a European screenwriter and script consultant. He grew up and studied in Strasbourg, graduating with a Master’s degree in ancient Greek Literature. He then worked at ARTE as a script advisor, before moving on to filmmaking, first as a producer then as a screenwriter.
He has written or produced over a dozen international arthouse features in the Middle East, the United States, Eastern Europe and France, which have premiered at major festivals such as Cannes, Berlinale, Venice and Locarno. His recent writing credits include Laguna directed by Šarūnas Bartas, selected for Giornate degli Autori at Venice 2025, Champ de Bataille directed by François Vautier, Cannes 2025 Immersive selection, and The Dam directed by Lebanese artist Ali Cherri, selected for the Quinzaine at Cannes 2022, which was shot in Sudan during the revolution.
As a consultant or a translator, he has worked with directors such as Ratchapoom Boonbunchachoke (A Useful Ghost, Cannes 2025), Pia Marais (Transamazonia, Locarno 2024), Ola Jankowska (Anatomia, Venice 2021), Teboho Edkins (Days of Cannibalism, Berlinale 2020), Magnus von Horn (Sweat, Cannes 2020) or Ben Russell (Good Luck, Locarno 2017).
